NEC Classic Car Show 2018

Each November, the Classic Motor Show at the NEC brings together some of the world's finest historic and collector vehicles. Covering more than one million square feet and showcasing over 3,000 iconic cars, it has become one of the largest and most prestigious classic motoring events in the UK.

For this year's event, PGVM worked alongside a number of leading specialists, providing transport solutions for an exceptional variety of vehicles. Our clients included McGurk Performance Cars, renowned for their outstanding collection of modern Aston Martins, and Graeme Hunt Ltd, whose display ranged from a Ferrari Testarossa to an 1890s De Dion. We also transported a number of privately owned collector vehicles, including rare examples dating back to 1906 and 1925, alongside many other significant historic automobiles.

Transporting such a diverse collection of vehicles—many of them over 100 years old—requires specialist equipment, careful planning, and experienced operators. Our enclosed transporters are equipped with electric winches and flat-floor loading systems, while our drivers carry battery support equipment to ensure vehicles can be moved safely with minimal intervention. These measures proved invaluable during the complex collection process at the close of the exhibition.

With multiple collections, varied delivery destinations, and tight timescales, the logistics presented a significant challenge. Thanks to meticulous planning and the expertise of our team, every vehicle was delivered safely, securely, and in the same immaculate condition in which it arrived at the show.

Since 2018 PGVM's involvement has continued to grow and we remain a close partner to the Classic Motorshow at the NEC.
